- The baudrate U set in the WB Prefs has absolutely no afffect on the baudrate of the modem!

- The baudrate U set in the Terminal program is the baudrate at witch the computer talks 2
- the modem. Set this at a high speed, eg 57600.
- The modem will automaticly connect at the highest possible/reliable speed.
- The data over the phoneline is compressed. If downloading/uploading a compressed file U
- won't benefit from the high serial (computer-modem) speed, but when downing/upping an
- uncompressed file (eg text) the speed will B higher!

- The modem has a buffer witch buffers the data comming in and when the buffer is full it
- will send it 2 the computer at the serial speed witch U set in the program!!
